"The discussion of the tourism potential of Dagestan resulted in a concrete proposal from the head of the republic to take a land plot on the shores of the Caspian Sea and build a Belarusian health center. Belarusian construction organizations have already received an invitation to participate in the development of the new Kayakent resort," the press service said.
The embassy noted that Dagestan is interested in increasing the supply of Belarusian farm machines, taking into account the fact that the region subsidizes its purchase for personal subsidiary farms. Dagestan intends to restore cooperation with Belarus. Promising sites for industrial assembly facilities have been identified. “Belarus has offered Dagestan its technologies and competencies in the field of housing and utility services, water treatment. The parties also returned to the topic of the construction of a waste processing plant by Belarusians in the region," the press service added.
Negotiations with the head of Dagestan turned out to be extremely engaged and intensive. "The allocated time was not enough even to outline all projects of mutual interest," the embassy stated. "The parties agreed to continue a substantive dialogue in Moscow soon."
In October, Sergei Melikov plans to visit Belarus to participate in events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great Dagestani writer Rasul Gamzatov.
